Houston’s 1st SLAB Parade & Family Festival

What’s the best way to celebrate Houston’s SLAB history? With a procession or parade, of course! The term SLAB stands for Slow, Low, and Bangin. Houston’s 1st SLAB Parade and Festival celebrated its automotive heritage and Hip Hop. Like their ancestors before them, these urban chariots geared up for battle with candy-colored paint, custom sound systems, neon, and a long list of other custom gear. The event featured live music, dance, spoken word performances, and street art.
