DJ Hypnotize

If you want something bad enough, get it! DJ Hypnotize envisioned a massive event featuring turntablists showcasing the art of scratching. To make his dream a reality, Hypnotize contacted us with a proposal to sponsor Skratch Fest, a DJ showcase featuring the art of scratching. We were delighted to make Skratch Fest part of the Houston Hip Hop Festival. Scratching is one of hip-hop's four core elements. It is a technique for producing distinctive sounds that involves moving a vinyl record back and forth on a turntable while manipulating the crossfader on a DJ mixer. In other words, the turntable becomes a musical instrument.
