Window Tint Work Authorization

Please read carefully before using Neighborhood Window Tinting ("the Company," "us," "we," or "our").

A. Florida Window Tinting Laws

Front side windows must allow more than 28% of light in. The rear passenger sides and back glass must allow more than 15% of light (6% for SUVs). Therefore, the manufacturer's warranty does not cover windshields and films that are darker than those permitted by state law.

B. Installation

The window tint application process requires water and a harmless "slip" agent to facilitate adhesion. The Company takes every measure to protect all surfaces that come into contact with water and immediately wipes them down when the job is complete. All patterns are computer-cut; therefore, blades and installation tools are not used on the exterior of a vehicle. The Company is not responsible for damage to exterior windows or surrounding areas, including rubber trims, seals, and gaskets.

C. Imperfections

Due to the nature of the product, a 100% contamination-free installation is impossible. The IWFA (International Window Film Association) states that glass with applied tint should be viewed at right angles to the glass from the room side and at no less than six (6) feet. Viewing should be done in natural daylight, not in direct sunlight. The installation is acceptable if the following are unobtrusive after a 30-day cure time:

  • Dirt Particles
  • Hair and Fibers
  • Adhesive Gels
  • Fingerprints
  • Air Bubbles
  • Water Haze
  • Scores and Scratches
  • Film Distortion
  • Creases
  • Edge Lifting
  • Nicks and Tears

D. Electronics

We take extra precautions when installing window tint on vehicles equipped with computers and electronic components. These areas include the front windshield, behind the dashboard, inside the door panels, and under the rear deck lid and trunk. It's important to note that while we do our best to protect these components, the Company is not responsible for any damage to the factory or aftermarket computers or electronics.

E. Defroster Lines

When removing tint from the back glass, we use professional-grade steamers and solutions to soften the adhesive and preserve your defroster lines. However, it's crucial to understand that even with these precautions, there is a risk that your defroster lines may be damaged. The Company is not responsible for such instances.

E. Dashboards

Heat and water seeping between the windshield and the leather dashboard may cause the leather dashboard to bubble after tinting the windshield on some vehicles older than three years. These repairs can cost several thousand dollars. We take extra precautions by covering and protecting dashboards. Please understand that, due to the nature of the installation (Section A: the window tint application process requires water and a harmless "slip" agent to facilitate adhesion), the Company is not responsible for damage to dashboards.

F. Dot Matrix

The dot matrix is a raised surface on the glass that typically borders the windows. As a result, most films adhere poorly to this area. When the film is completely dry, it can appear white from the outside. We want to be transparent about this aspect to ensure you have a realistic expectation of the result.

G. Defects

New and old windows can have light, heavy, internal, or external surface scratches, chips, and distortions. Although previously undetectable, these scratches, chips, and distortions will appear after the window tint is applied. The Company is not responsible for replacing tint in such instances.

H. Drying Time

Water bubbles are entirely normal and part of the standard tint drying process. Bubbles in your windows are temporary and caused by moisture. As the moisture evaporates, the bubbles will dissipate. Depending on the climate and product, the drying process can take 5 to 30 days.

I. No Shows

Appointments over 15 minutes late will be marked as no-shows. No-shows without prior notification may incur an additional charge, as determined by the Company, for their next appointment. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this policy, as it helps us maintain efficient scheduling and service quality for all our clients.

J. Return Policy

Window film installations include a nationwide manufacturer-backed warranty for materials and labor. Window film installations are cut to fit your vehicle's specifications and cannot be removed and reused. Therefore, there are no refunds for our window tinting services.
